Annexin A1 (ANXA1)
Links to databases
Annexin A1 belongs to a family of calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding proteins, and has roles inmembrane fusion and exocytosis. It is principally located on the cytosolic face of the plasma membrane and exhibits phospholipase A2 inhibitory activity. The protein also plays a key role in the anti-inflammatory effects of glucocorticoid hormones, which increase ANXA1 synthesis. Annexin A1 has also generated interest as a potential target for cancer therapy due to its inhibition of the NF-?B signal pathway, which may otherwise protect tumor cells from apoptosis. ANXA1 has also been reported as a useful diagnostic protein marker for hairy cell leukemia, and as a potential tumor supressor in breast cancer.

Analytical Measuring Range
Please note: the technical data reported below refers to the measured value in the in vitro validation assays. The calibrator curve below shows the performance of the assay with the estimated sensitivity and dynamic range parameters indicated. These curves are generated during the assay validation process using recombinant antigens. Please note that when analyzing biological samples the data generated will be given in the form of relative quantification (NPX values) and cannot be converted to absolute protein concentrations. For more info about NPX measurements, please visit our FAQ page (https://www.olink.com/question/what-is-npx).
